Arthotsav 2k17 : DAY 3

Arthotsav's final day was marked by smiles, laughter, and tears of joy. Day 3 of Arthotsav started with zealous preparations for the first event. Eagerness was thick in the air as all volunteers, head of departments and even the teachers were excited to welcome our chief guest, Mr. Himanshu Mishra. Mr. Himanshu Mishra, Vice President of Finopaytech graced our event with his presence as the chief guest and judge for today's event. The event DeMon , as the name suggests, was based on the recent Demonitisation scheme. The first round of this event was a game of Charades where each team member was given 10 words to describe in a time span of four minutes. Whispers of word guesses like digitisation, radiator, debentures and sweep account etc., were heard. Five out of nine teams made it to round two. Round two was a case study round where the participants' imagination and application of their knowledge of economics was tested in a fun and interactive way. Our judge

Missed us? Here's our broadcast for the day: The s econd day of Arthotsav began with overwhelming enthusiasm of volunteers and met an equally fervent response from participants. The first event for the day was called Just Shoot Me wherein the participants had to express their creativity with their photographic skills! Bollywood fanatics had the chance to create a new banner for their favourite movies.  We then proceeded to Reign of Empires . Participants played  a virtual World War 3 with their regions and countries. They attacked each other aggressively and had to answer correctly to get military points. The final event for the day was   Handle the Brand . 16 out of 31 teams qualified by solving crossword to compete. After solving crossword participants had given a clue. Arthotsav 2k17 : DAY 1

Arthotsav is back, y'all! Arthotsav finally began today with a speech by none other than Dr. Ajit Ranade, from the Aditya Birla group and beloved columnist (Saturdays) in Mumbai Mirror.  Dr. Ranade graced the dias by reminding the audience that: >They have a long life ahead of them, and must be patient for things to come to them >The two most important skills to cultivate are Analysis and Articulation > Nothing a person learns can be a waste of time. We then proceeded to the first event of the festival, namely The Wolf Of Dalal Street . The Psychology class next door seemed visibly perturbed at the commotion caused by our participants and volunteers in the Arts Building. The ruckus seemed endless as participants haggled over prices, buying and selling and checking updated prices anxiously. The next event was Pitch it Perfect , in which participants enacted advertisements for quirky products such as a detergent that dyed clothes green! It brought out participants

Arthotsav preparations are on in full swing! We invited CLs from colleges around the city to come and take part in Arthotsav this year. Many valiantly rose to greet the occasion with much gusto, and on the 8th of February, 2017, we played host to contingent leaders from 7 colleges around Mumbai. Some CLs were very inquisitive Others reacted with happiness Of course, they left with goodie bags, and free points for their contingent as promised!
