Arthotsav 2k17 : DAY 2

Missed us? Here's our broadcast for the day:

 The second day of Arthotsav began with overwhelming enthusiasm of volunteers and met an equally fervent response from participants.

 The first event for the day was called Just Shoot Me wherein the participants had to express their creativity with their photographic skills! Bollywood fanatics had the chance to create a new banner for their favourite movies. 

 We then proceeded to Reign of Empires. Participants played  a virtual World War 3 with their regions and countries. They attacked each other aggressively and had to answer correctly to get military points.

 The final event for the day was Handle the Brand.16 out of 31 teams qualified by solving crossword to compete. After solving crossword participants had given a clue. They had to solve it and run to get the next one before their competitors! Hunting for clues to go to the next level, searching for locations for tasks, and finally arriving at the jackpot, the participants had a gala time. Some went home with a prize, some knowing the nook and corner of Matunga and Dadar!

 And so, yet another wonderful day came to and end.

Book Review : "Anne Frank : The Diary of a Young Girl"

Mahima with the book I thought I knew the story of Anne Frank and in a way I did, I knew about the world she lived in, the way she had lived in The secret annexe for 2 years, only to be captured so close to the end of the World War. However, I never really knew Anne's story; at least not until I read the diary, "Anne Frank : The Diary of a Young Girl”.             In this diary along with the personal reflections, thoughts and dreams, Anne Frank captures the grave tragedies inflicted by the madness of the Nazi regime and the Second World War.            Anne had mentioned of receiving a diary for her 13th birthday and soon had made up her mind that her diary wouldn't just be an account of what she did each day.
