ANOTHER YEAR OF CELEBRATING SUCCESS
On 8th August 2019, the Economics Department of D.G. Ruparel College of Arts, Science and Commerce had organized a felicitation ceremony in order to celebrate the excellence of students in the subject of Economics.
The Chief Guest Dr. Prakash Salvi Sir, the former Head of the Economics Department was accompanied by the HOD Mrs. Varsha Utpat Ma’am and the chairperson of the EconomicA, Mrs. Anita Hamand Ma’am.
Nikita Kapoor from TYBA inaugurated the ceremony with a kind welcome to all the audience present and Sreya Nair introduced them to the Chief Guest and his impressive accolades, after which Anita Ma’am gave a brief introduction of the Economics Department and its dynamics with the students.

As the felicitation ceremony began the students awarded were from the sections of SYJC, FYBA, SYBA, SYBSc and TYBA were announced forth by Bhairavi and Vandana of TYBA. The honourable patron felicitated the meritorious students for their excellent performance in the subject by presenting them with Certificates of accomplishment and Gifts.
From the SYJC batch Supriya Nikam, Sailee Chavan and Kartiki Gurav were the students felicitated for
their brilliance.  From FYBSc and FYBA there were Ishita Dhanuka and Sakina Haldive along with Divya Alle to receive their rewards respectively. From the SYBA section, Soumya Prakash and Ketaki Limaye were presented with their tokens of appreciation. And finally, Gayatri Naik, Sanyukta Buwa and Neha Chavan were awarded for graduating as students of Economics with the most excellent achievements in their curriculum.
Afterwards, in his address, the Chief Guest reiterated that academics play a pivotal role in the holistic development of the students and lauded the prestigious prodigies for bringing laurels to the Institution and the Department of Economics. He also congratulated his fellow professors for their efforts and guidance.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to all the volunteers and faculty members who co-operated to make this function a success, administered by Mihir Ghole of FYBA.
