Arthotsav Diaries, DAY 3
15.02.2020
The third and final day of Arthotsav 2020 started on a high note. The Institute of Technology and Management, one of the sponsors of Arthotsav this year, held a seminar on the prospects of Post Graduate Diplomas for the Final Year students. The seminar was hosted by Mrs. Seemita Bose Chowdhury from ITM. It was a rather informing, interactive and insightful session. As the session wound up, the preparations for the Megaevent began and the finalists and participants started to enter into the classroom 2-Science. The Megaevent, World War 3 hosted by Isha Gokhale, began at 12 PM. As the participants strategized and planned and played their game, the minutes ticked by and soon it was time 3 PM and the Megaevent came to a satisfying conclusion with the ultimate winners being crowned and applauded for their sharp wits and grand achievements. And so, all the events for the year were declared successfully completed.
After a small and required respite, all the volunteers soon gathered back in the classroom 2-Science for the awards and closing ceremony. Soumya Prakash opened the ceremony with a heartfelt speech that highlighted the spirit of Arthotsav. Soon after, the winners of all the events were announced. They came onto the dais and accepted their certificates and rewards through the hands of the EconomicA, chairperson Prof. Anita Hammand.  The awards for the ultimate winners of Arthotsav, the best Contingent Leader and the best college were bestowed with trophies and thunderous applause, all three of which were claimed by the exceptional students of R.A. Poddar College. And thus, after a thankful speech from the chairperson of Arthotsav, Ketaki Limaye, the ceremony along with Arthotsav 2020, came to an inevitable yet extremely beautiful end.
After the participants were bid goodbyes to, the juniors gave a heart-touching farewell to the third-year students. They played a video containing hilarious and sweet photos of their seniors and sang a divine medley of songs, painting the air with nostalgia. As the atmosphere hung high with sentiment, some of the seniors stepped up on the dais and said their last words as a part of Arthotsav, sharing their most precious memories and recollections they gained through their journey. In the end, with a lot of hugs and sobs, the crowd departed homewards, cherishing in their hearts forever, the world and time of Arthotsav 2020.
